Chase and United have recently started sending offers for a Visa card with what seems to be the most bonus miles ever: 50,000 miles after first purchase. Fee-free in the first year (see second comment), and all the other usual terms, conditions, and perks (max accumulation 60,000 miles per year, 1,000 miles upgrade certificate, the worthless $25 discount coupon, etc). Unfortunately, the solicitation was not addressed to me :-( However, a friend (with a 6-digit miles balance) was happy to share the information.

any way to get this without getting a piece of mail?
looks like when you go to sendmethecard.com you need an invitation code and an offer number. looks like they make it pretty hard to get somebody else's offer. damn. will hope for mail.
I got one of these in the mail, and I only had 30,000 miles before then. The annual fee actually isn't waived for the first year.
