Starting today, US Airways business travelers can earn 5000 Bonus Preferred Miles. The bonus will be awarded per booking, so check if two one-ways happen to cost the same as a return trip. Registration is needed. Offer ends August 31st. This is US Airways's rather late - and rather lame - response to the status miles promotions mania which was ignited last month by Delta.
Note that this is in addition to the %50 bonus credit toward preferred status that one earns when flying Envoy.
